More than 3.6 million Americans, or 6 percent of all adults, have at least some type of pre-existing disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Many of them are also at risk for health problems related to obesity.
The data also shows that Americans with diabetes are more likely to be obese than the general population, the CDC said in a report published Monday.
That means that people with the disease are more prone to obesity and that eating a balanced diet and exercising can help them avoid becoming obese.
To better understand the prevalence of obesity and the links between the two diseases, The Hill looked at data on the prevalence, health outcomes and physical activity of U..
S.-based women ages 25 to 59 who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in 2007.
The survey has been running since 1977.
The researchers used data from NHANES and data from the National Center for Health Statistics to estimate the prevalence and health outcomes of obesity in the United States.
They found that between 2000 and 2007, there was a 50 percent increase in the number of obese Americans in the U.K. compared to the U, and a 15 percent increase overall.
The United States has the second highest rate of obesity among industrialized nations, behind only Canada.
There are about 15 million more Americans with obesity than in 2000.
About one-third of Americans have type 2 diabetes, which is a blood disorder characterized by elevated levels of triglycerides.
Type 2 diabetes is associated with a higher risk for heart disease, stroke, type 2 joint and hip problems and amputation.
The U.N. estimates that the world’s population will grow by more than 7 billion by 2050, bringing a massive increase in diseases, such as diabetes and obesity, that affect more than 4 billion people.
Obesity has become a major public health concern in recent years.
In 2015, the Centers of Disease Control, Prevention and Health Promotion said the number and type of obesity-related deaths worldwide are at their highest since the 1990s.
